Biotech Initiative for Africa would like to share a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join our partner, Roche Diagnostics, a leading and innovative organisation which specialises in the retail of a range of diagnostics for the clinical sector. Being responsible for the sales team, the role will focus mostly on developing existing accounts, acquiring new contacts with multinational and large corporations, and increasing sales in Sub-Saharan Africa.

In a rapidly evolving and increasingly competitive healthcare environment, our client is seeking a strong leader with extensive experience in managing a multifaceted sales team tasked with growing revenue and maintaining pre-existing customer relationships. You will be part of a driven organisation and charged with strengthening the company’s capabilities in the given locations. The role covers two geographical areas (Mali and Guinea), but the successful candidate will be based in Mali. Consequently, the role will require some travelling.

Essential Requirements: 

-  At Least 3 years of experience in managing a sales team

- Knowledge of the molecular diagnostics market and the clients

- Knowledge of various Roche Diagnostics products and services

- Strong sales background with proven track record especially in the sub-Saharan African marketplace

- Knowledge and interest in diagnostics

- Fluent in French and English

- Excellent negotiation, sales and marketing skills

- Excellent IT skills

- Previous exposure to laboratory settings

- Comfortable with frequent travelling

- Master’s degree required (preferably in Life Sciences or Pharmacy)
